Downpayment Assistance Gone!?!

Legislation was passed to end the Downpayment Assistance Programs (DAP) that have been popular to help FHA buyers (and some others) purchase homes with ZERO money down and ZERO closing costs out of their own pockets. As it stands right now, you must have a signed purchase agreement and submit the application for your downpayment fund company no later than the end of October. You will be able to close after October. Several of the Downpayment Program companies have filed suit to allow continued use of these programs, but the legislation is still ending most of the programs. |
